Document Management
Abacus has along with our IT consultant Webdew developed our own web based document control system for our projects. This system acts as a centralised point for common documents used in tendering and also in the construction of our projects.
Investing in this web based portal demonstrates our commitment
to striving for greater efficiency in Information Managment and
greater Quality Control.
Abacus has developed business policies and procedures for the
management of information within the business and within each
project, which is strictly adhered to.
Time Management
Abacus uses Microsoft Project to develop construction programmes
for each project.
In addition to project gantt charts, Abacus uses 2 and 4 week
rolling programmmes to fine tune our delivery, which are
communicated to trades on a weekly basis.
Risk Management
Managing and controlling risk will enable Abacus Project Services Projects to operate efficiently and safely. Through the pro-active identification, assessment and control of risks, the probability of personal injury or loss to our organization will be minimised.
Quality Management
Abacus is committed to developing it's Management Systems to further improve its Quality Assurance Systems in pursuit of excellence in the quality of it's projects. Implementing our prior knowledge of QA Systems and Risk Management Approach, we have developed our own Quality Assurance System, the success of which is demonstrated by the high calibre architectural projects we have successfully completed and the high number of satisfied Clients and Architects.
Abacus is working toward certification to ISO 9001 Standard.
Occupational Health & Safety Management
Abacus Project Services cares for our workforce, contractors and
the communities in which we work.
We believe all incidents are preventable and we promote a "Zero
Injury Policy" as our company safety culture. Through
pro-active assessment, management and control of risks, we aim to
secure safe working environments. All persons entering and
working on our construction sites are accountable for safety of
themselves and others in performing their duties/work. Abacus
Project Services undertakes to fully support site safety and to
provide resources and training for our employees. The same
undertakings are required of sub-contractors to their
employees.
Abacus is working toward certification to AS 4801 Standard.
Enviromental Management
Abacus supports the ideology of a sustainable
environment. Accordingly we support the use of materials and
work practises that minimise pollution in their manufacture and
installation into the project.
Abacus has an Environmental Policy and Environmental Management
System in order to assist with delivery of this responsibility on
each project.
